For families who simply love New York City and dare to make their own version of it!

Join us Saturday, Sept 25th 10am to 12pm, for a free event of book reading, craft and making experience, in collaboration with Beth Beckman, author of the book series “Little Kid Big City”, Quirk Books publishing house, and Boogie Down bookstore.

Beth Beckman will kick off the event by reading her favorite part of the book, Little Kid Big City New York. Participants will then be invited to recreate the city in The GIANT Room using all sorts of arts and crafts materials, fabrication machines, and more. When you think about New York City, what’s the first thing that comes up to your mind? Yellow Taxi Cabs, Empire State Building, Dinosaurs in Museum of Natural History, Hot Dog stands, Central Park, or … Dream your city, make it, and share it!

You may purchase a copy of the book at the event and have it signed by the author!

This is a free in person event for families with kids 3 to 12 years old. Due to COVID we are limiting number of families who can join so please RSVP only if you are pretty sure you can make it. All participants are required to wear mask, and all adults need to show proof of vaccination.
